QR code, acronym for "Quick Response", is a two-dimensional code generated to store information. It can be read by imaging devices such as smartphones or tablets using a specific app.
Each QR code contains information about the packed product and usually redirects to websites, texts, images, audio, video or telephone numbers.
The use of the code takes up a very small space on the pack and gives you the possibility to connect additional information. Furthermore you can change and continuosly update the target content maintaining the same link. In some cases the code is in the same way associated to specific marketing and promotional initiatives.
Thanks to the digital printing technology the QR code can also be unique and sequential, containing production traceability data. In this way the packaging becomes unique and guarantees the tracking of the product.
